This is the central question of every evaluation. The most important step is determining whether your symptoms are genuinely related to your diagnosis and whether intervention is likely to help. Many patients are referred with a diagnosis already in place — the role of the consultation is to carefully assess that diagnosis, review all available information, and determine together whether surgery is appropriate, and if so, what the right approach is. Not every patient requires surgery, and that determination is made with the same care as the surgery itself.

Of course. Postoperative follow-up is often coordinated in part with local physicians, with ongoing communication between our office and your local providers as needed. Our goal is to maintain continuity of care without requiring repeated long-distance travel whenever it can be avoided.
